Abby & Ella :: two peas in pod

Tuesday, February 1st, 2011

I’m super excited to share these pictures with you for several reasons:
1. They’re sweet lil’ babies
2. They’re my friend’s sweet lil’ babies.
3. They’re kind of, like, miracle babies. The babies my friend thought she’d never have.
4. They’re living proof that God is gracious.

This is a totally different style for me. Generally, I don’t usually take on infant sessions because I know my strengths and my weakness’… and newborns don’t happen to be one of my strong points. After many years of therapy, I’m finally able to admit that.

There are several people that excel in the art of newborn photography. I think perhaps two of the best photographers ever (that’s right, that was an absolute statement) are Baby as Art by Brittany Woodall and Captured by Carrie by Carrie Sandoval. These two work together to create some beautiful images that make me ooohh and aaaahh. And I mean it for realz! :)

To be honest, I’m considering birthing another child just so they can photograph my baby. Ya, I know. They’re that good. So go and check them out, but not until you look at my pictures and stroke my newborn photography ego a bit. ;)

Here are miss Abby & Ella just 4 weeks old. They’re small little peanuts, they are. They were actually born at 32 weeks and were finally able to come home.
