Excuses, Excuses

Tuesday, January 26th, 2010

There’s a reason for my sad lack of posting.
It’s not the best excuse, but I’m just going to go with it.

In case you haven’t already heard, I’m pregnant!
It’s been some pretty exciting news around here and we are beyond thrilled.
I have a feeling it’s going to be a looooong pregnancy.
My little boy, Kaleb, asks me multiple times a day,
“So, how big is the baby now?”….
“What about, now?”
This has become the equivalent of hearing, “Are we there yet?” on road trip that has just begun.

Conveniently enough being pregnant has become my excuse for almost everything…

“Ginnie, were you going to fix dinner tonight?”
“Can’t. I’m pregnant.”
“Since when do pajama’s double as every-day wear?”
“Since I decided they did. I’m pregnant.”
“So then how many days in a row can you actually wear the same pajama’s?”
“I’m shooting for at least a month. I’m pregnant.”
“Do you, at any point, plan on showering this week?”
“Probably not. I’m pregnant.”
“Have you by chance seen any matching socks that haven’t already been worn twice?”
“Socks can be worn at least 3 times. I’m pregnant.”

And at the local sandwich shop I asked for some extra pickles. You know, the good crunchy kind?
That was quickly followed by, “I’m pregnant”.

So what’s with the lack of blogging?
Ummm, I’m pregnant.
Does that answer suffice?
(Just say yes)
;)

I have lots of pictures to post and I have every intention of getting caught up,
starting now….

Families & Holidays

Wednesday, January 13th, 2010

When Wendy, a fantastic photographer, contacted me to do some extended family pictures I got a little nervous for two reasons:

1. I’m lame. I get intimidated to shoot another photographer. It’s true Wendy.
2. Extended families can be a little challenging. That’s a lot of people.

Well, when Wendy told me that her family only consisted of 3 siblings (and their little families) my mind was put at ease. You see when you come from a family of 8 children and 33 (almost 35) grandkids shooting a family of 16 is a breeze.

:)

We shot these in freezing temperatures… FREEZING.
