I Think I’m Hooked on Wedding Photography
June 5th, 2009When Aaron called and asked if I would shoot his wedding in Salt Lake City, I maybe said something like, “Ummm, weddings? Ya, I don’t do weddings.” And then I stopped to ask myself why I don’t do weddings and I couldn’t come up with a good enough reason not to, so then I gave him and enthusiastic, “YES!” I think I scared him just a little bit so I toned it down and casually said, “I mean, ya… I can do that”.
I have to admit, the day of the wedding I was a little nervous. This is their big day.
Note to self: Don’t screw up Aaron’s BIG DAY.
No pressure, right? Well, the moment they walked out the doors I jumped right into photographer mode… work it, work it, own it… and the rest is, well, history. It was awesome and I had myself some Utah wedding photographer fun. Maybe even enough fun to do it again.
Info: These were all shot with my 24-70 mm lens. No flash- I’m anti-flash… not that there’s anything wrong with it.
All were shot on manual with the ISO at 160, 2.8 AV, and varying shutter speeds.

WOW. I have been waiting for you to post these! They are beautiful!
SOOOO beautiful. I love them! They make me want to get married all over again.
They look great! Nice work!
Yea for you doing a wedding!! Looks like you managed NOT to ruin the big day either. Double Yea!!
Great job Ginnie. No one would ever know it was your first wedding. Fabulous!
Nice job! I can’t even imagaine how stressful that was, but it looks like it turned out. You really do a good job.
Yo quiero Taco Bell
I myself was wondering when the wedding pictures would start. You obviously have the touch. If only I could go back 9 years. As always, LOVE THEM!
By the way every time Ryan looks at his website, he tells me “we really need to get Ginnie down here.” So what do we gotta do to get you down here?
Gorgeous, just gorgeous. Question for you – did you shoot all of them at an f-stop of 2.8? Did I read that right? SO MUCH CLARITY and depth of field. (BTW, I am Marta’s sister-in-law – love the pics you shot of her and Dan).
